OUR PROPOSALS FOR STRUCTURAL CHANGES IN THE REIMBURSEMENT SYSTEM

In contrast to international examples, there are no defined scientific indices in Turkey. Such an exercise would be beneficial both for the public authority and the industry. Sharing the results of the assessments made based on such indices with the applicants will increase the transparency and the predictability of the process. Application of defined criteria in the formation of the scientific assessment commission will certainly serve the decision-makers as well as the sector. The working principles of the scientific commission should be defined similarly.
The second structural change proposal concerns the collection and two-way sharing of evidence-based data such as the incidence, the prevalence and market estimation that would facilitate the construction of financial models of the products evaluated for inclusion in alternative reimbursement or drug reimbursement processes.
